| Quality is an inherent criteria in the practice of surgery. This is a trait that is synonnymous with the brand hopes®, a made-in-Malaysia single-use hospital theatre surgical gowns and draping system.
hopes® is manufactured by Medipro Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd, a market leader with over a decade of industry expertise. Its ISO 9002-certified factory is located at Bandar Sultan Suleiman in Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia occupying some 7,200 square meters and manned by a 300-strong workforce.
Customised designs are available for surgical gowns and draping systems, with the flexibility to suit specialised hospital requirements, including the combination of materials to meet performance and cost criteria. However a primary material is SONTARA by DuPont, which is an approved material for surgical gowns and draping system - adopting the good points of both non-woven fabric and linen, respectively superior barrier against bacteria and material flexibility.
SONTARA is produced by means of a spunlace processs in which fibres are compressed to sheets by high pressure jet water without any adhesive. This give superior advantages including:
1. Superior barrier against bacteria.
2. Flexibility as in linen.
3. By repellent processing, SONTARA prevents penetration of blood and body
fluid.
4. SONTARA is made of environmentally-friendly wood pulp and polyester; food
fibres which are commonly used for food packaging.
5. Easy to be cut without fraying fibres/lint.
6. The production process ic chemical-free, thus there is no risk of chemical
